A very unpredictable weather system caused a steady rain to fall on participants of the Monday match play and one court of the USTA 3.0 team match. The players competed on clay. One of the many benefits of the clay courts, is that play can continue during wet/rainy conditions as the footing is not dangerous. Therefore, the situation can demand more of a mental adjustment more than a physical one. The women’s doubles match of the PRC Diamond Divas and Hopewell Starz demonstrated such mental toughness. What a good opportunity to practice playing in adverse conditions.
