For the next two days, the focus will be on the ritual or routine that you use before the serve. Today, Judy suggests the following progression. First, determine your target, where are you going to serve the ball (wide, jam or T). Secondly, see it with your eyes and your brain. Once you have stored your image, visualize your stroke and at contact your racquet head, or aimer, should go in the direction of the hit. Keep the head still, behind the ball, while your eyes are looking up. To practice at home, line up three objects and then practice the procedure for all three targets.
Suggestions for rainy day activities: practice changing grips, ups and downs, footwork drills, yoga and journaling.
