Governor Murphy announced today that all indoor sports are permitted to resume on January 2nd, including USTA league tennis matches. This order was confusing, as playing indoor tennis (lessons, court time, etc) has been allowed since June 22nd, but competitive USTA league play was suspended briefly during December.
The following USTA teams may have openings for interested players: Women: 2.5 (Tuesday daytime), 3.0 over 40 (Wednesday daytime), 3.0 18 and over (Saturday afternoon), 3.5 over 40 (Thursday daytime). Men: 3.5 18 and over (Saturday afternoon/evening); Mixed Doubles 6.5 (Saturday evening). The majority of the matches are scheduled at PRC – little or no travel, and continue through March.
