It Just Doesn’t Seem “Right”

Three of the the four players that participated in the singles match play this morning were lefties.  Judy had the players rotate.  Can you imagine being a right handed player (Pat) and then having to play 3 different lefties on the same morning?

Weatherproof!

Members of the Thursday 9:30 am clinic had their last drill for the winter session yesterday.  They “decided” to drill outside and demonstrated their mental toughness in cloudy, windy, cool (some may say very cold) conditions.  Good focus and effort – all with smiles.

Left Wing Majority

This morning at 8 am, four of the five players who arrived were lefties.  Often lefties enjoy playing opponents who don’t realize that they are playing a left handed player until late or never in a match.  It’s always fun to ask a lefty if they realize that they were playing a lefty!

Happy Birthday Kathy and Joyce

The Wednesday/Thursday group drilled and then celebrated Kathy and Joyce’s birthdays today.  Best wishes to Kathy, Joyce and our other PRC members who enjoy April birthdays.

Good Start for Slices and Volleys

Tuesday was a perfect day for the first match of the USTA 3.5 40 and over league.  The PRC Slice Girls and Volley Girls competed outside under sunny skies with very little breeze.

Clay Courts Are Open

The clay courts are playing pretty well, thanks to the warmer temperatures.  Lots of drills and match plays are scheduled this week.  The courts are available to rent through the weekend.  PRC will be open Easter Sunday until 4 pm.

TGIF!

The courts were hopping at 8 am this morning with a contract courts and Judy’s singles match play.  Thinking it may be our last Friday indoors before the glorious weather begins.

Celebrate Aces!

The PRC Paces, winners of the USTA Winter 3.5 40 and over League, gathered to celebrate their successful season at PRC on Thursday night.  Thanks to Captain Beth Sopher and all of the players.  The team will advance to District Championships in August.
