Hail Mary!

What a week Mary Reath had recently!  Mary was honored to meet the Pope, who received a copy of her latest book, An Open Door.  The next day, she presented her book to Prince Charles.    Now those are two really good reasons to miss her tennis games at PRC!  Congratulations, Mary.

Are you ready for April?

Hard Courts at Princeton Racquet Club

Many of you may say yes, I have been anxiously watching April, the giraffe on the Animal Adventure Park Giraffe Cam, ready to give birth to her baby.  As this is written, over 215,000 people are watching the live camera, as she may deliver any minute.  If you would like to spend some of your snow…

Teams Overcome Flaky Friday

Two weeks ago, the outdoor courts were filled with women from Friday match play league, dressed in sleeveless shirts and sunglasses.  Today, the snow didn’t stop most of the women from participating in Friday match plays, Game drills and lessons.  Both PRC teams played each other in the 3.5 USTA league at 12:30 and then had an early…

The adult specialty clinics have been announced for the spring session.  These clinics are very popular and serve as a great way to prepare for the upcoming USTA season.  Topics include mental toughness, how to physically and mentally manage the 20 seconds between points, emphasis on the first 4 shots and playing with character.  A special…

“Courting” Friendship

Peter Cohen is a frequent player seen on the courts at PRC – either working hard on his game in drills or playing on seasonal contract time.  Today, he shared memories with Tom Chestnut, a childhood and college friend, regarding their years on a different court – basketball.  Tom was in town with his teammates from…

Up For Sundays

Judging by all of the activity at PRC, Sunday is not a day of rest!  Men’s groups filled the courts at 6:30 am, followed a badminton group at 7:30 am and then more adults and a dedicated group of juniors who were working hard with Palash.  Great day for indoor tennis!

PRC is Premier Again!

Thanks to the USTA Middle States and New Jersey District for this honor.  Congratulations to all the members of our administrative, teaching, tournament and facility staff and all of the adults and juniors who make PRC an award winning club.  Click here for more details.  PRC will receive the award at the NJD Awards Banquet in April.

Record Setting Day for Fun

What a treat to be able to enjoy the record setting warm temps by playing outside on the hard courts on February 24th.  Years from now, these players will remember their game of outside tennis.  Players from Game Drills, Triad, private lessons, Friday match play and men’s round robin kept the courts full throughout the…

On Purpose

While attending the PTR Symposium each year, Cos and Judy look forward to hearing Dr Jim Loehr, who is considered to be the mental toughness expert for tennis.  We have shared many topics that Dr.  Loehr has designed and presented throughout the years to many juniors and adults.  During the last two years, the focus has been…
