The USTA Adult League Meeting for captains of women’s team was conducted on January 25th at Princeton Racquet Club. Judy Vogt, League Coordinator for the 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 leagues, organized the teams and Sharon Narsiff, NJD coordinator, presented new league rules for the upcoming season. The USTA league captains meeting for the Women’s 18 & Over 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, and Men’s and Women’s 55+ and 65+ and all Men’s Leagues will be held on Wednesday, February 17 @ the Marriott Forrestal. Roger and Serenas are 7.0’s- the highest NTRP level. The season usually lasts 8-10 weeks. The format of most team matches is 2 singles and 3 doubles matches (8 players/match). Women’s teams choose to play during the weekdays and weeknights. Men’s team compete on the weekend. At the completion of the season, the local winner will advance to NJD District Championships, followed by Sectional Championships, and finally, the winner will advance to National Championships.
Last season, over 50 teams represented Princeton Racquet Club and competed outdoors on the hard or clay courts. Players enjoyed getting an opportunity to compete with other players of the same level, while playing with friends and meeting new ones. If you are interested in participating this season, please leave your contact information and level at the front desk. If you are not sure what your accurate NTRP rating would be, teaching professionals at PRC can advise you. It is our pleasure to help you participate on a team at Princeton Racquet Club.
