One of the lesser known USTA leagues is the Tri Level League, where players of different levels compete on the same team. One match consists of three doubles team competing at three different levels. For example, a match would consist of #1 doubles being no more than 4.5 players, #2 doubles being no more than 4.0 and #3 doubles being no more than 3.5 players. During the fall, the men’s and women’s 4.5, 4.0 and 3.5 Leagues is held outside in the Princeton area for three consecutive Saturdays, with matches being held at 10 am and 2 pm. Players can play in one match or both matches per day. The league will start on September 17th and matches will be held in the Princeton area. Winners will advance to championships in Delaware.
During the indoor season, a women’s 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 Tri Level League is held from October- March on Saturday evenings at PRC.
The leagues are fun and provide players an opportunity to meet and team with players who are different level. USTA League options are sparse for working people who cannot compete during the weekdays. Captains are looking for players for both the fall and indoor league. Please leave your contact information at the PRC front desk or email Cos.
