Several USTA junior tournaments were held at PRC on Saturday and Sunday. The focus of the tournaments was to provide less experienced juniors an opportunity to play a lot of matches and learn the rules and procedures of tournament play. The format was a compass draw, which provides a type of round robin play (non elimination). The intermittent rain and heat was challenging but the tournament staff, parents and juniors all endured good mental toughness and cooperation to make the events fun and enjoyable. By the end of the evening, popsicles were enjoyed by not only the participants, but fans as well. Thanks to Dennis, Adam and Sean for their awesome job with the weather and kids.
