The summer season is approaching and the information for junior clinics and adult programs is available. Registration starts May 21st. In addition to the very popular junior tennis camp, clinics are offered after camp on weekdays (between 4:00-6:30 pm) and on weekends. The PRC junior program has three tracks: 10 and under, developmental and competitive. The 10 and under is designed to provide a curriculum, red/orange/green low compression balls, smaller courts and net and smaller racquets for different age divisions within the 10 and under platform. Children can start as Hot Shots (4-5 yrs) and continue through beginner – intermediate, advancing to the orange ball. Beginners – Intermediate 11 – 17 years old use the green ball to help with stroke development, strategy and positioning. The Competitive Track includes Future Stars (10 and under), HS Prep, Tournament Training (12, 14, 16) and High Performance. For a copy of the junior instructional clinics, click here.
Instructional, competitive and social tennis programs are plentiful for adults this summer. PRC offers many beginner clinics at introductory rates. Demo tennis racquets are available to try. In addition to private lessons, group clinics are offered for advanced beginner- tournament level, singles and doubles clinics, cardio/game drill and stroke clinics. Match plays (singles and doubles) and Fed Cup offer players the opportunity to play matches with a coach’s tips during play. They are a fun way to practice new shots and strategies and practice with a partner for USTA matches. USTA competition continues with the addition of summer women’s 40 and 55 and older leagues.
