Sunny Day for PRC Partners

It was a glorious, sunny day for tennis and the PRC Partners and Nassau Slam completed their final match of the first round of the USTA 3.0 18 and over league.  What a match it was – as 4/5 matches went to a third set match tiebreak.  Congratulations to PRC (12-10 pts) and all of…

Beautiful Morning at PRC!

After what seemed to be a month of rain, twenty women ventured outside in cloudy and windy conditions for match play this morning.  Everyone was so grateful to get some tennis played and the matches were exciting.  Thanks to Maria for making the courts playable and in super shape.

Friday was an Event-full Day

The weather was gorgeous and events included an USTA match with the Cosmos vs the Force, singles and doubles match plays, Game Drills, a Middle States USPTA Workshop and a cake!  Thanks to Bettina, who provided a delicious birthday cake for Cos and everyone for their nice birthday wishes.

Happy Birthday, Mary

One of the most special areas at PRC is the Memorial Garden, located behind Clay court #1.  There are trees planted in memory of very special friends who frequented the PRC courts and were an inspiration to many players at the club.  Thanks to Jacinta Samuel for her dedication to making the garden so pretty.…

A New Warm Up

Dorthe, Lauren and Catherine of the PRC Supreme Court warmed up on the playground equipment before their match at Millstone in the USTA 3.0 league on Friday. What a fun way to stretch! Congratulations to the team on their victory.

Celebrating a Birthday and a Singles Victory

The PRC Drop Shot Divas welcomed the glorious weather and competed in the USTA 3.5 18 and over league today vs Mercer Motley.  Congratulations to Mary Reath, who celebrated her 70th birthday yesterday, and then earned a victory in singles after coming back and winning a third set tiebreaker.  Way to go, Mary.

Hot Weather Brings Out “Grumpy Old Men”

You know it is time for outdoor tennis when you see PRC’s “Grumpy Old Men” playing on the clay courts.  Welcome back to Peter and his group of guys, who practice for USTA matches and take advantage of the cooler and softer clay courts at PRC.

Fun Beginnings

Spring is a perfect time of year to learn to play tennis or to return to the courts after a long break. Outside court time is plentiful and it is easy and inexpensive to practice with friends and family in addition to your lesson. Plus, you will be able to meet new friends. There are…

Tennis Investments

There was a wealth of information, friendship and quality tennis points on the outside clay courts on Thursday.  Lorna Drummond and Don Loff, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, provided a wonderful afternoon of tennis, financial advice and a lovely luncheon.  Everyone benefited on and off the court.
