Flexible Friday!

Friday’s uncertain and scattered rain created lots of tennis events on the indoor courts.  Women’s match plays, game drills, summer tennis camp including Pickleball, private lessons and USTA Sectional League Championships were held on the courts throughout the day.  Lots of action everywhere – gotta love indoor courts!

Pickleball Fun at Junior Camp

Junior campers had a blast playing some pickleball on a rainy morning on court 2.  The teaching pros demonstrated positioning, tactics and explained the scoring and rules.  Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US.  It is very fast and can improve tennis player’s net play and reactions.

Spring for Pickleball

The spring program for Pickleball starts this week.  If you haven’t had the opportunity to try the fastest growing sport in the country, it is not too late.   Pickleball is a combination of tennis, ping pong and badminton.  It is played on a smaller tennis court, with a paddle and hard whiffle ball.   Players…

Pickleball Fun

The Pickleball program at PRC is still going strong.  In addition to the Thursday drill at 11 am, popular play times are Thursday and Sunday nights at 6:30 pm.  Beginners are welcome and paddles and balls are available.  For the full listing of Pickleball activities, click here.

Pickleball Drills a Hit

The Thursday Pickleball Drill has been well received.  Coach Elaine and her students have worked really hard and have had much fun every Thursday at 11:00 am.  It’s not too late to learn how to play and join in the fun.  Call the front desk or attend the session on Thursday.

Auggie says Tennis + Holidays = Perfect Together

Auggie is excited to combine the holidays with tennis. Junior mini camps, open court time, adult clinics (CardioTennis, Game drills, Drill and plays) and Pickleball are available this week. Check the PRC website or visit the PRC front desk for a full schedule and to reserve a space. 

Pickleball Holiday Schedule Available

Mixing it Up at Pickleball

Today was a wonderful day for Pickleball – 8 women played Tuesday morning at 8 am and at 2 pm, Elaine supervised mixed doubles.
