Another Benefit of Playing USTA Matches – Lunch!

The PRC 4.0 team enjoyed each other’s company and lunch after their USTA match today.  The team dined at the newly opened PJ’s (formerly Main Street Cafe) in Kingston.  One of the many benefits of playing on league teams is sharing food, conversation and friendship after a match. Reflect at the PRC Memorial Garden

The most popular areas at PRC are the tennis courts for action and the spacious lobbies and outdoor seating areas for post match chats.  However, the most peaceful, tranquil area is the PRC Memorial Garden, which is located behind clay court 1.  The seating around the Memorial Garden is surrounded by trees dedicated to several…

Happy May Day!

Cos introduced the PRC staff to another Baltimore tradition (Berger cookies was the first) and celebrated May Day, May 1st.  Everyone was skeptical at first, but the lemon juice did come up through the peppermint stick.  If you would like to try this refreshing treat, click here.

Good Friday for Tennis

The courts were occupied all morning, with players from contracts, some USTA matches and Friday match play.  Conditions were perfect – inside and out!

Left Wing Majority

This morning at 8 am, four of the five players who arrived were lefties.  Often lefties enjoy playing opponents who don’t realize that they are playing a left handed player until late or never in a match.  It’s always fun to ask a lefty if they realize that they were playing a lefty!

Happy Birthday Kathy and Joyce

The Wednesday/Thursday group drilled and then celebrated Kathy and Joyce’s birthdays today.  Best wishes to Kathy, Joyce and our other PRC members who enjoy April birthdays.

Double Birthdays!

Doreen (3/30) and Jacinta (3/31) demonstrated teamwork as doubles partners in the Friday match play and then teamed up to blow out birthday candles together. Happy Birthday and best wishes from everyone at PRC.

Game for A Match?

Looking for a game?  Can you believe the number one factor in people not playing tennis is that they can’t find anyone to play with?  That is very unfortunate when you only need 1-3 to do so.  Two opportunities present themselves at this time of year.  First, many captains are looking for players for their USTA…

St Patrick’s Day Fed Cup

Great shots, competitive matches and laughter were plentiful at the St Patrick’s Day Match Play and Fed Cup match.  Congratulations to the Fed Cup team of Baileys Irish Cream:  Chris, Dale, Ellen and Robin, followed by the Irish Coffees, Shamrocks and Lucky Charms.

PRC Celebrates St Patrick’s Day

The Top of the Morning started with Mary Monaghan’s homemade Irish soda bread and treats, followed by cupcakes delivered by leprechauns Judy and M.  Thanks to everyone who wore green and helped to make the day so much fun.
